The Hartford city is located on the Connecticut River of Connecticut, in Hardford Country of U.S. State. It is nicknamed as "The Insurance Capital of the World". It has population of 124,558 by the month of july 2002, and it is the second largest city in the state, the first is Bridgeport. Comming to its Geographical features city has a total area of 46.5 km² (18.0 mi²). 44.8 km² (17.3 mi²) of it is land and 1.7 km² (0.7 mi²) of it (3.67%) is water.
